There are at least 220 species of alien/exotic flowering plants in Nepal. Among them, 26 have been identified as Alien Invasive Species (IAS). ForestAction Nepal is working with Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh and national collaborators in a Darwin Initiative funded project on invasive species. The project works to build capacity of local communities to identify and manage invasive species in forests and other ecosystems. As part of the project, a poster on all IAS of Nepal has been produced. This serves as an important educational materials for local people, community forest users and other stakeholders working in forest management and invasive species.
