A graduate in Environmental Management, Rahul Karki has a decade long experience in forestry and natural resource management research. He is currently affiliated to ForestAction Nepal where his research work spans around community forestry and REDD+. He has represented the institution in various international and national platforms in various capacities. He is the managing editor of Journal of Forest and Livelihood, one of the esteemed forestry journals in Nepal. His current area of engagement involves community forestry and food security in Nepal.
