ForestAction has focused its activities on analysing the policy and institutional landscape of the forest, agriculture, NRM and local governance sectors to facilitate informed debate on climate change adaptation, mitigation (particularly REDD+) and payments of ecosystem services. Our initiatives have prioritized understanding the role of institutions at different levels of governance- national, meso and local levels. Our works are focused in overall understanding of community-based adaptation and mitigation initiatives, governance, financing, documenting and synthesising the lessons and insights to bring it to the national policy debates and to wider public knowledge.
