Cluster-level workshops to enhance community preparedness for forest fire management
Designing an effective forest fire management at the community level is crucial for protecting people’s lives , properties , forest , and biodiversity . Equally important is the need to strengthen community capacity on various fronts of forest fire management .
One of the important aspects of effective community-led forest fire management is to ensure an efficient cluster-level coordination mechanism . It is critical for effective forest fire management, especially in contexts like Nepal where forests , communities, and institutions are closely interconnected. In this backdrop, cluster-level workshops were conducted from 2nd April to 7th April 2026 at the ward level in Shailung Rural Municipality, Dolakha district, and Chautara Sanghachowkgadhi Municipality, Sindhupalchowk district.
