Enhancing livelihoods and food security from agroforestry and community forestry in Nepal

The inception workshop (national and district level) of the research project “Enhancing livelihoods and food security from agroforestry and community forestry in Nepal” was organized from 12-13 May 2013 in Kathmandu, 14 May in Kavre and 15 May in Lamjung. The project is funded by Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR) and will be implemented for five years (2013- 2018) in Kavre and Lamjung districts. The project partners are University of Adelaide, University of New South Wales, ICRAF, IUCN, Forest Action Nepal, Nepal Agroforestry Foundation, Search-Nepal, FECOFUN, IOF and CF division of the Department of Forests (DoF). Among the Nepalese research organizations IUCN is the national secretariat and ForestAction is taking the role of field coordination for the project.
