ForestAction Nepal has published the Nepali edition of “Farmers Save the Earth“, originally written in Japanese by renowned farmer Akinori Kimura. Titled Prithvi Bachaune Kheti Pati in Nepali, the book was translated by Arnimaiya Bajracharya and edited by Dr. Krishna Prasad Paudel.
Drawing on Kimura’s experiences and insights from farming in close relationship with nature, the book explores approaches to farming in harmony with natural ecosystems. It highlights the interconnectedness of soil health, biodiversity, ecological balance, and farmers’ knowledge and experiences, offering perspectives on sustainable and nature-friendly agriculture and food systems.
The Nepali edition was launched on 16 August 2026 at Shilpee Theatre, Battisputali, Kathmandu.
As a core publication of ForestAction Nepal, the book is intended as a resource for farmers, agriculture advocates, policymakers, practitioners, researchers, and others working towards more sustainable and nature-friendly agricultural systems.
