Annual Report 2024-25

This year marks some concrete innovation in the field; from forest landscape restoration and participatory forest fire management in high-altitude regions, to agroecological practices with farmer community, showcases how local actions can inform and influence broader policy frameworks. Simultaneously, we have also deepened our engagement in policy processes by strengthening collaboration with the provincial and federal governments, generating evidence through research and advocacy. Our initiative in promoting women’s leadership and inclusivity in forest-based enterprises and climate financing also highlights our interventions towards women empowerment and involvement in environmental sustainability. Trainings, workshops, and on-site support remained important strategies for capacity building of smallholder farmers, community forestry user groups, agriculture and forestry officials, youth, women and local leaders.

As we reflect on our 25-year journey, we would like to take this moment to acknowledge our achievements. What we have achieved so far would not have been possible without the unwavering efforts of our staff members. I would also like to extend my sincere appreciation to our partners, donors, community groups, collaborators, and colleagues who supported and encouraged us in our mission. We hope your generous support will continue in 2026 and beyond as we work towards strengthening resilience and ensuring natural resource sustainability.
