The study team is pleased to produce this report on “Political Economy of Forestry Sector of Nepal: Analysis of actors’ engagement and policy processes” which was commissioned to ForestAction Nepal by Multi Stakeholder Forestry Programme (MSFP). The overall objective of this analysis was to assess the current state of stakeholders’ role in the forestry sector of Nepal and analyzes the contended and conflicting roles between and within them. It will also suggest some positive roles that need to be played by the stakeholders in order to transform the forestry sector of Nepal.
