Ms. Sikshya is a resident of Nepal and doing her Ph.D. in Gender and Development Studies at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), with a specialized focus on women’s participation in biodiversity conservation efforts. Holding a Post Graduate degree in Women’s Studies and a master’s degree in Anthropology, she brings a multidisciplinary perspective to her research and advocacy work. With over a decade of professional experiences, Ms. Sikshya has made significant contributions in various domains including gender studies, women’s empowerment, natural resource management, community development, livelihoods enhancement, green recovery initiatives, governance, and water within South and East Asia. She has built her expertise, particularly in natural resource management sector, concerning gender equality and social inclusion.
