Ms Srijana Sigdel is a young researcher and forestry professional from Tanahun, Nepal, holding a Master’s degree in Wildlife Management and Biodiversity Conservation and a Bachelor’s in Forestry from Tribhuvan University. She has practical experience in ecological field research, project implementation, and multi-stakeholder coordination. Her research specializes in human- wildlife conflict and habitat use, with broader interests in climate change and forest-based livelihoods. Srijana adopts interdisciplinary approaches to forest ecology and nature conservation, combining scientific inquiry with community engagement. She has contributed to forest inventory, GIS-based resource mapping, biodiversity conservation, disaster risk reduction, and bio-engineering through her work with RECOFTC Nepal, Resources Himalaya Foundation (RHF), and ARDS Pvt. Ltd. Her work also includes coordinating conservation outreach programs, training workshops, and grassroots advocacy. Currently, she is involved with Forest Action Nepal on a project promoting ecosystem-based adaptation, agroforestry, and gender-responsive climate finance. Srijana is committed to inclusive, climate-resilient natural resource management and to bridging science with community-driven conservation.
